I'm on the crew of the feature film "Girls Girls Girls", which will be screened tonight, at 6:30pm, at Warner Bros. (Los Angeles). The film is an independent project by the trio Jenn Fee, April Wade and America Young. It compiles six short films produced, directed, written, edited and filmed by women filmmakers.

I sign the continuity (script supervisor) in three of the six short films, having collaborated on one of them with the director Jen Lynch (Surveillance, Boxing Helena), also known as the talented daughter of the filmmaker David Lynch.

The theme of the shorts is always seen under the female perspective. "How to Have a Happy Marriage", directed by Jen Lynch, satirizes a video "How To" of the 50's, showing the life of Mary (Sarah Newman), a typical housewife. Trying to please her husband (French Stewart, from the series "3rd Rock from the Sun"), she takes antidepressants to make everything perfect, with disastrous results.


At "My Own Private Demon", directed by Barbara Stepansky, Vickie (Barrett Perlman) is a girl who must fight an epic battle every morning against her inner demon (Ellie Zimmerman), whose objective is to destroy the confidence in herself. Vickie has to survive and defeat her demon, just so she can start her day. The production includes special effects and stunts.

"Locked-In" questions how far one can an actress go to get an opportunity in the film industry. Georgia Knotts (April Wade) is hired by director Heather Cherovkin (Jenn Fee) to star an ambitious artsy film. And nothing can stop her, even when the director's partner, Ben Grogan (Michael Worth), decides to call off the project. The short is directed by America Young and uses cameras with different textures to tell the funny and dark story.

The film was premiered at the Santa Catalina Film Festival last month, and is now being officially released in the film circuit.

Vickie tem que sobreviver e derrotar triunfalmente seu demônio, só assim ela pode começar seu dia. A produção inclui dublês e efeitos especiais.

"Locked-In" ("Trancafiada") questiona o quão longe pode ir uma atriz para conseguir uma oportunidade na indústria cinematográfica. Georgia Knotts (April Wade) é contratada pela diretora Heather Cherovkin (Jenn Fee) para estrelar um ambicioso filme de arte. E nada pode detê-la, nem mesmo quando o sócio da diretora, Ben Grogan (Michael Worth), decide encerrar o projeto. O curta é dirigido por America Young e utiliza câmeras com diferentes texturas pra contar a história divertida e dark.

O longa teve premiere no Santa Catalina Film Festival, mês passado, e agora está sendo lançado oficialmente no circuito.
