Oh, boy... What were they thinking?
I couldn't disagree more about the casting of the girl and her over-the-top makeup/style. Maybe I bite my tongue later, but I guess they just don't get it. That's not The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. She's not supposed to look freakish and asexual like that. And the dialogues from this trailer sounded a little bit too much uber explanatory, like drawing for people to understand the story. Ewe! Spare of me that, please!
The original Swedish movie "Män som hatar kvinnor" (check below), directed by Niels Arden Oplev, is awsome! I love it! The actress Noomi Rapace is fantastic, they have great casting, impecable production, thrilling story, everything's perfect. Why remake it for worse? Duh...
Discordo totalmente sobre a escolha dessa garota com visual ultra over. Posso até morder minha língua depois, mas acho que eles simplesmente não entenderam nada. Isso não é a Lisbeth Salander. Ela não é uma aberração assim. E os diálogos do trailer (primeiro acima) parecem meio super explicativos, como que desenhando pras pessoas entenderem. Aff Me poupe disso, por favor!
O filme original sueco "Os Homens Que Não Amavam as Mulheres" (segundo trailer acima), dirigido por Niels Arden Oplev, é ótimo! Eu amei! A atriz Noomi Rapace é fantástica, eles têm um elenco maravilhoso, produção impecável, história instigante, perfeito. Por que refilmar pra pior? Hellooo?!

My short film is on the #1 celebrity magazine of Brazil! | Meu curta está na Caras!
My short film "Stuffed" -- that premiered yesterday at the Downbeach Film Festival Atlantic City Cinefest -- is subject of a news article of "Caras", the largest celebrity magazine in Brazil, with more than 300,000 copies per week. (I guess we could say it is the equivalent to the People magazine.) The article is on their website and is coming out in the printed version.

'Stuffed' gets two award nominations!

OMG!!! My film "Stuffed" received TWO NOMINATIONS at the Downbeach Film Festival Atlantic City Cinefest, that will be held from Oct 14th to 16th. My latest short film is nominated for "Best Drama, Short 15 minutes or more" and "Best Actor, Short" (Phil Miler). I'm in heaven right now!!! Yay! Yay! Yay!
Aaahhh! Meu filme "Stuffed" recebeu duas indicações no Downbeach Film Festival Atlantic City Cinefest, que acontece de 14 a 16 out. Meu curta mais recente foi indicado para "Melhor Drama, Curta de 15 minutos ou mais" e "Melhor Ator, Curta" (Phil Miler). Tou nas nuvens!

"Synergy" in Montana in October! | "Sinergia" em Montana em outubro!
My short "Synergy" has been selected to the 8th Montana CINE International Film Festival which will take place from October 17-23! The screening will be held on the 22th, at 10 am. In the previous week, the film will be shown also at the 8th Poppy Jasper Short Film Festival, in San Francisco Bay area. It seems 8 is my lucky number! LOL
The Montana CINE features films on a broad range of topics and issues that lead to dialogue on critical and contemporary issues, and help to complete a global snapshot of our world. Its mission is to promote awareness, knowledge and understanding of wildlife, habitat, people and nature through excellence in film, television and other media.
"Synergy" is a dark comedy about the corporate world, featuring the German actress based in Los Angeles Ilka Urbach. She is Amelia Lockheart, a regional sales manager who is looking forward to a promotion, having worked tirelessly in the merger of the company. But being a woman in a male-dominated world is not easy. She disputes the position with her coworker Constantine Matters (Robert Balder). The festival is named after a world-renowned, semi-precious gemstone characterized by red and poppy-yellow circles (orbs) on a field of white or black. Poppy Jasper is unique to the Morgan Hill area and that's why the founders like to say Poppy Jasper "is a film festival that really rocks!". LOL Every year it screens about 60 films, each carefully selected from the many submissions, many coming from outside the United States which makes it truly international.
Meu curta "Sinergia" é um dos cinco filmes selecionados para o programa de comentário social do 8º Festival de Curtas Poppy Jasper (San Francisco Bay Area), que acontecerá de 14 a 16 de Outubro. Segundo a revista MovieMaker, PJ é "um dos 25 melhores festivais para reunir cineastas e profissionais da indústria do cinema em um ambiente simpático e acolhedor."
O nome do festival homenageia um tipo especial de jaspe, uma pedra semi-preciosa caracterizada por círculos em vermelho e amarelo vivos sobre nuances de branco ou preto. Chamada de Poppy Jasper, a gema é exclusiva da área de Morgan Hill, onde acontece o festival. A cada ano, P.J. exibe cerca de 60 filmes, cuidadosamente selecionados, muitos vindos de fora dos Estados Unidos o que torna o festival verdadeiramente internacional.
