Curta Santos film festival: more than 1 million viewers in Brazil

My debut short film, Synergy, is been invited to be part of a special program at the Curta Santos - Festival Santista de Curtas Metragens (Santos Short Film Festival), which will be held from September 13th to 17th in the City of Santos, São Paulo State (Brazil).

In its 9th edition, the festival is one of the most important of Brazil, with more than 1 million viewers in its latests editions and absolutely free tickets to everyone (like any great festival is supposed to be, isn't it?). This year's theme is "For all the women in the world". According to the organization of Curta Santos, assuming the "female point of view" the goal is to show social responsibility and sustainable development through the visuals. The sub-theme aims to sharpen the discussion about economic growth that harms the environment - and to encourage active public participation in actions that shall ensure the future of the Latin America and the world.

Curta Santos has partnerships with other festivals all over the world, helding specials sessions in Leipzig (Germany) and Maputo (Africa). Great, isn't it?

Meu curta de estréia, Sinergia, foi convidado para fazer parte de uma mostra especial no Curta Santos - Festival Santista de Curtas Metragens, que acontece de 13 a 17 de setembro em Santos (SP).

Em sua nona edição, o Curta Santos consolida-se como um dos mais importantes eventos dedicados ao audiovisual do Brasil, tendo inclusive superado a marca de 1 milhão de espectadores em suas duas últimas edições. E conta com programação totalmente gratuita (como deve ser todo bom festival que se preze, né?).

Este ano, o festival pretende homenagear “todas as mulheres do mundo”. Partindo do princípio do “olhar feminino”, pretende trabalhar a responsabilidade social e o desenvolvimento sustentável por intermédio do audiovisual. O subtema visa aguçar a discussão sobre o crescimento econômico prejudicial ao meio ambiente - e incentivar a participação ativa do público em ações que zelam pelo futuro da região e do planeta.

O Curta Santos tem parcerias com outros festivais no mundo, tendo apresentado sessões especiais em Leipzig (Alemanha) e Maputo (África). Prestigie o evento!
