Brazil is in LA! | O Brasil é aqui em LA!

Carmen (Mina Olivera) visits her fiancé (Neto de Paula) at the office in Rio
to check if he's having an affair with a co-worker, like the fortune teller said

I'm recharging my batteries for the last shooting day as Script Supervisor of the short romantic comedy A Vidente (The Fortune Teller), starring Mina Olivera (also executive producer).

The film tells the story of jealous Carmen (Mina Olivera), whose approaching wedding may be threatened by short co-worker (Shanti Correa) of her fiancé Rogério (Neto de Paula), according to the fortune teller Jandira (Ligia Andersen). To find out if it's true, Carmen asks the girl for a threesome dinner.

The scenario of A Vidente is Rio de Janeiro, with the exteriors shot in the wonderful city and interiors shot in Los Angeles, simulating the Brazilian environment. The film is all spoken in Portuguese and will be screened in April in the Labrff (Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival).

As 80% of the crew is Brazilian, the official language on set is Portuguese. The few Americans get a little lost, but we translate to them. So cool to work like that, it feels like I'm in Brazil. LOL

The crew is almost all Brazilian women working in the Los Angeles film industry: Mina Olivera and Meire Fernandes (executive producers), Shanti Correa and Patricia Teixeira (producers), directed by Darcyana Moreno Izel, cinematography by Carina Sanginitto, edited by Ligia Ramos.
